Details

The Arnaud Ente 2009 Meursault Clos des Ambres presents a nose that is remarkably well-defined, characterized by citrus, nectarine, and almond aromas. Upon entry, the palate unfolds with a rounded texture, offering notes of grapefruit, almond, nectarine, and apple blossom. While displaying a touch of softness on the finish, the overall experience is nothing short of sublime. The initial burst of fruit gives way to a more delicate and understated profile, showcasing impeccable craftsmanship. This Meursault is characterized by a lack of hard edges, featuring a lovely mid-palate juiciness and a wealth of style. The finish is adorned with lingering nuances of crushed rocks, spices, and a hint of smoke, completing this wine with finesse.

Antonio Galloni - 92 Points

"Good full yellow. Nose dominated by menthol and wet stone. Fleshy and ripe but quite dry, with a strong saline minerality giving the wine a chewy character for the year. Not a particularly fruity style but refined, subtle and long, with a whiplash of minerality on the aftertaste. For veal with a cream sauce or light white meats, suggests Matrot. An excellent showing."
